As part of the Theban Necropolis Preservation Initiative, a section of the tomb of Seti I that is being recorded in Luxor will be reproduced to be installed in the Antikenmuseum in Basel in mid-end 2017. The facsimile will then be transported to Luxor, where it will be installed in its permanent location at the Valley of the Kings. The sarcophagus recorded in the John Soane museum will also be reproduced in Alabaster as part of this exhibition.
