Antikenmuseum Basel. Exposition autour du tombeau de Séti I : à partir des scans 3D haute résolution réalisés sur l’original en Égypte par Factum Arte (Madrid), production d’un fac-similé à l’échelle 1, puis mise en scène muséographique dans le musée bâlois.
Antikenmuseum Basel. An exhibition built around the tomb of Seti I: starting from the high-resolution 3D scans made of the original in Egypt by Factum Arte (Madrid), production of a full-scale facsimile, then its museographic staging within the Basel museum.

Assumer le fac-similé comme objet à part entière, distinct de l’original. Le dispositif muséographique met en scène la chaîne technique (scan, fabrication, restitution) autant que l’objet lui-même. L’exposition raconte donc à la fois Séti I et le statut contemporain de la copie patrimoniale.
Embrace the facsimile as an object in its own right, distinct from the original. The museographic design stages the technical chain (scanning, fabrication, rendering) as much as the object itself. The exhibition therefore tells the story of both Seti I and the contemporary status of the heritage copy.
